The First Church of Christ bids all a warm welcome to Simsbury
and to our House of Worship. The religious heritage and
philosophy of First Church is fourfold:
- to gather in our Meeting house to worship God;
- to provide the opportunity to grow in Christian knowledge;
- to build Christian community through our life together;
and
- to evidence Christian love and concern through outreach
ministries.
We are strongly supportive of our denominational affiliation
with the United Church of Christ while continuing to affirm our New
England "Congregational" heritage.
Church Services
Church Services are held Sunday mornings at
8:30 am and 10:00 am during the school year and at
9:30am during the summer months
of June, July and August. Our Church School classes,
including Nursery care, are held during the Worship
services. We gather at special services on Christmas Eve,
Easter, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday, and other special
occasions.
Office Hours
Our Church Office is open daily from 9:00am through 4:00pm from
September through May. From Memorial Day until Labor
Day summer office hours are 9:00am
to 3:00pm. The Office may be contacted by personal
