Parents can help teach values of care and compassion by
involving the whole family in outreach and mission projects. One
way parents can teach stewardship is to ensure that their child
brings their offering envelop to church each Sunday. The student
offering is placed in a separated account from the church. The
offering is used exclusively for church school mission projects.
Another way is to participate in our Mission Awareness activities
in Palmer Hall on Family Sunday. The following mission projects
will be highlighted:
September and October - UNICEF
November and December- Collection of infant items: baby food,
formula, diapers, wipes, new clothing, bottles, pacifers,
etc.
November 25- Children's blanket making for homeless shelter and
Christmas cookies for outreach project
January and February - Collections for children's Easter
baskets
December to May - Heifer project
Offerings collected from Sept to Nov will be used to purchase
fleece for children's blankets.
Offerings collected from December to May will be donated to
Heifer.
