Direct pledge payments from your bank account could make your
busy life a little simpler. At your request, the church
can deduct the payment of your pledge from your bank account
monthly. This saves you having to remember to write
checks, reduces church processing costs and is more secure than
processing checks.
To set up direct pledge payments, complete an authorization
form which gives Webster Bank permission to deduct the amount you
specify from your account at any bank monthly and deposit that
amount into the church bank account. You may change or cancel
your automatic donation any time by notifying the church
office in writing. The amount deducted will be shown on your
bank statement with the designation "First Church" as though you
had written a check.
Church members who have taken advantage of direct pledge
payments report that the process is easy and secure. Some say
they appreciate not having to pay their church pledge when they are
out of town or unable to attend church.
