Strategic Planning
At the February 2011 Financial meeting of First Church,
President Goss commented in his remarks that our current
financial situation is not sustainable nor responsible
from a fiduciary leadership perspective. We must have
a plan for a financially healthy church and a
vision for First Church that will allow us to be the Church
our members (current and future) want us to be. Therefore we
have launched a Strategic Planning effort under the leadership of
Vice President Billye Auclair.
Vice President Auclair overviewed for the congregation the
efforts underway to formulate and deliver a Strategic Plan for
presentation to the Congregation in June 2011. She noted that
we are not the only Church experiencing difficulty, and that we
must examine "what we do" and "what we want to be". Input
from the Congregation will be solicited in a number of different
ways, and will be extremely important to this process.
